The Gazelle!!! One of My favorite sceans in movie history!

I loved the chase scean with the Aerospecial Gazelle Helicopter. It was cool to watch the pilot just go all out in flying it. To bad about the wire strike thing, but it was just a model, and they were the bad guys. Still not too many films out there where you see a gazelle, my favorite chopper. But there was one goof, if you look at the scean where the helicopter cast a shadow, it's actually the shadow of the camera helicopter, which is a Bell Jet Ranger.

By the way, a Gazelle helicopter was what they used for Blue Thunder, they just re-built the front end.

Take THIS, George Lucas!

Yeah, it's a fluidly and ferociously staged chase, and the chopper is almost carnivorous. Eastwood's action staging and sense of location are expert: compare this sequence to the helicopter chase in The Spy Who Loved Me (also from 1977), and you'll see the difference is visceral impact and rawness. What's more, composer Jerry Fielding's athletic, ominous jazz on the soundtrack creates a dynamic audio-visual counterpoint.
