Police cars in chase scene

This is what I remember most about this movie when my parents took me to see it in 1976. In particular, one of the police cars gets squeezed into an A shape after it passes through a small tunnel. That same car was parked for many years in front of an auto dismantling business on Valley Blvd in El Monte CA. It was there until the 80s or early 90s. It's long gone now and everything there has been redeveloped. I doubt the car still exists.
