Did anyone watch this film in the theater?
This film was not released in the US. But, there was a screening of the film in New York City after McQueen's death. Did anyone actually go to see the movie in the early 80's?
shareI didn't see in NY but it played for one week at the Laemmle Theater in Hollywood (when McQueen was still alive)and I saw it there. It was awesome!
shareIt was very limited upon it's initial release. There are almost no records of it ever being shown.
The New Beverly Cinema just held a screening tonight.
It's a grandiose performance by McQueen, who acts more than he ever did before (which, I believe was his intention).
It's a shame it never got a greater release. It's not a bad film at all.
