Seen this now!

Thanks to those who replied on my previous thread. I've seen the movie now. Yep it is pretty bad. But to rank this alongside some truly awful clunkers such as THE CHOKE, CLAUSTROPHOBIA or HELLMASTER is going a bit too far I think. And I don't think this is Sir Christopher Lee's worst movie. He cites STARSHIP INVASIONS for that position. I've never seen it though. His worst movie to date in my view (out of those I've seen that is) has got to be NOTHING BUT THE NIGHT. Now I thought that was REALLY dull and he couldn't come anywhere near close to saving it.

My views on END OF THE WORLD are easy to sum up. The opening scenes with Mr. Lee had me hooked but the movie faded into nothingness for the next half-hour or so afterwards. When Mr. Lee came back on the screen, I was hooked once again and so this cycle of interesting-dull-interesting-dull continued until the end. The explosion of Earth with no hero to save the day was interesting to see as well.

I saw this movie as a kid on TV. It's kind of odd that I'd totally forgotten that Christopher Lee was in it, I wasn't that young. But otherwise I mainly remembered being disturbed by the ending sequence.

I'm watching it right now just because Christopher Lee is in it.

alli remember is all the dark filler scenes, christopher lee playing a confusing double role... and the world as a miniature exploding..this movie popped back in my head after watching C. Lee in the hobbit this weekend, and in honor of the mayan calender about to run out, im gonna rewatch this pile of trash.
