Is it really that bad?

I just saw this film over the weekend... Lemme tell ya... This film is a Turkey... Big enough to feed the world before it ends. For such a climatic event (i.e. end of the world) You would think something exciting would happen. I was happy the Earth exploded... No one else would have to see this movie.

Yes, it was slow and the synthesizer music was hard to take… some of the sound effects for the computers at NASA were the same sounds we hear on the bridge of the starship Enterprise.

I found it had a parallel to The Day The Earth Stood Still, except here, the aliens don’t give a warning or a second chance, or even a solution (besides total inhalation) to what ever bothered the aliens about the human race. At first, I thought that an alien race who claimed to be so enlightened and peaceful would violate their own morals by killing others just so they could take human form while they visited the Earth. But then again, the Nazis thought they were they were doing the right thing by killing every one else around them.

Couldn’t they have just wiped out the human race and left the deer and the antelope play?

It's not that it's bad but that its bloody boring. BUT the opening and ending are pretty cool.
