Joan Collin's account of the filming
This is too good that I have to share it. An excerpt from Joan's autobiography about her experience during the filming process:

Nice find. Thanks for sharing.
I looked and felt like a wreck, convinced I was scarred for life, and was never so delighted and relieved as when the last day of shooting arrived and it was finally my turn to be asphyxiated by the giant queen ant.share

Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!
I remember when Joan Collins was interviewed by Johnny Carson many years after the completion of the film. He asked her "Let's talk about Empire of the Ants" and she replied "Let's not!". I thought at the time that her response was pretty funny. Possibly the worst film that she and Robert Lansing ever made.

The Bitch and The Stud are the ones.
No blah, blah, blah!
OP: Thanks for the link.
shareIt's unfortunate that she has so many unpleasant memories of the movie but I, for one, think it was all worth it as this is one of my favorite films.
