2.35:1?
IMDB say that this was shot in widescreen 2.35:1 but my US Shriek Show DVD is only 1.85.Is this correct?
shareAccording to DVDCompare.net, the Shriek Show release has the widest frame of all known DVD releases of the film. I highly doubt that an Italian exploitation director would shoot with CinemaScope. My guess is that a submitter saw the black bars on the top and bottom, got confused and thought that it meant it was letterbox, when there is also a 1.85 : 1 ratio, also.
When AC/DC says, "She's using her head again," they don't mean that she's thinking.
Italian exploitation directors such as Fulci and Martino often shot in scope but I can't think of any of D'Amato flicks shot this way.

Those bastards at Shriek Show probably cropped part of the picture away, as they´re infamous for doing, in order to make the movie ´anamorphic widescreen´. Read up on ít, and you´ll find the evidence. I usually avoid their releases, which tend to be mediocre to the point of insulting. Who cares if they add extra interviews and whatnot? Hard-to-find cult films that have been badly converted from PAL sources, and then cropped further in order to produce faked widescreen, aren´t my idea of quality product.

No, the aspect ratio is 1.78:1, if you want it in that format, you have to get the Scandinavian DVD, i have the Scandinavian DVD and it is in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, i live in Scandinavia by the way so it wasnt hard to get for me :)

Contains an English language track.
I have both the Dutch and Scandinavian releases. The Danish release features the awesome soundtrack as a bonus feature, which is a definite plus! =D I haven't watched my Scandinavian copy of the movie yet, but from what I've read, it's a great edition of it. =) Thank God i was able to acquire a copy before XploitedCinema.com ran out of stock, and finally closed down for good!
