Not a strong movie

The first half of the movie is very confusing and disorganized. So many characters drop in without being introduced properly and they end up being very unimportant to the plot. In the second half, the movie concentrates on a minor theme that again fails to make the movie interesting. As a whole the movie seems to have no real story to tell. Not among Sautet’s best movies.
