The plot is ridiculous

The organization breaks a prisoner out because they desperately need him to use his special military skills to murder someone. Then for the remainder of the movie, the organization uses their own skilled snipers, hit-and-run car drivers, and explosives experts to murder just about everyone the prisoner attempts to confide in. So why did they need the prisoner to do something they were clearly capable of doing on their own?

reply

Ludicrous movie. After several years in prison how could hackman be a crack shot? Same for Rooney? Many unbelievable plots points in the movie.

Non-plot question: How did they makeup department manage to make 30 year old Bergman look plain?

reply

Just watched this mess. It's hard to believe it was that bad. The script was just a cheap ripoff of many others, crammed into one and none of it made sense. Even the acting was bad, yes, even though it had Gene Hackman, Richard Widmark, and others.

reply

Ouch. Hackman and Widmark and still that bad?

reply

No, not true. The movies bad and ridiculous but Hackman is Hackman. He did his job in this stinker. Hes the only redeeming part of it.

reply

I liked Hackman and Rooney in this film.

It was implausible though.

reply

Yeah that was a nice thread it sucked what happened to Rooney. Had they continued with that dynamic it would have been a much better film. Two guys who don’t like each other but like each other.
