The ending (SPOILERS)

It made no sense to me. First of all, why did the cop have to run away like that from the nursing home? Why did he have to break up with both women? I understand that he doesn't want to put the current squeeze through the things he made his wife do but to leave his wife as well after all the pain HE caused her? He's afraid his babies would turn evil? Then ADOPT ONE. You know, just like YOUR FOSTER-PARENTS DID! Why did he have to force the pimp to kill himself? Why not just tell him to go with the murder weapon to cops and confess? How did they piece together that he was the one who killed the blond alien? What, did they conclude that the murder weapon was the building coming down and he triggered it? Did the cop himself confess "the murder"? Why? What good does that do? He got so used to confessing everything to the priest, he just had to tell someone? :) Even if he did, how is that enough to convict him for death caused by having a building fall on the guy?

And now the lame part...
A pulsating chest vagina? Really? Really? And he wants to mate with the guy? This is a horror, right? Maybe if you're a hardcore rightwinger.
And the reason for all the murders was? To make the "good alien" show himself? And the reason for having an evil board of directors at your disposal was? To pay for your cosy basement/boiler room s--thole?

Let me try to answer some of your questions...

"Why did the cop have to run away like that from the nursing home?" The cop ran away b/c he was finally realizing who and what he was and he was afraid. In addition, the elderly woman was his biological mother and he realized that also.

"Why did he have to break up with both women?" Here again, fear. He was afraid they could see him for what he really was plus he knew any children he brings into the world will be like him. While his girlfriend was still trying to figure it out, his wife had, I think. Plus, I think he was beginning to show his alien side and he didn't want to subject the women to that. You ask, why didn't he adopt? He can't b/c its an instinct in every living thing to procreate. However, he's trying to fight the instinct b/c he's learning what he truly is and it terrifies him.

"Why did he have to force the pimp to kill himself?" I've been trying to figure this out too and the only answer I can give is revenge but not for the reason you would expect. Remember what the pimp did AFTER he killed the cop? He wrote, "GOD," on the wall in blood. Maybe the cop felt this was sacrilegious to him, as an alien being, and that's why he killed the pimp. The pimp thought it would throw the cops off. Plus I think the cop or Peter was testing out his powers to see how far he could go.

"Did the cop himself confess "the murder"?" I think that's Peter's way of finally accepting what he is and living with it. He decides to allow himself to be locked away where he can't harm the public.

"And he wants to mate with the guy?" As I stated before, the desire to procreate, is a universal instinct. That's why the alien did all this.

"And the reason for all the murders was? To make the "good alien" show himself?" That's right, to find his kin. The alien being, the glowing one, wanted to find his kin on earth. He and the cop are sort of related, in a way. Both were conceived via that ray we saw in the film when the woman was taken into the ship. This whole film's plot is the golden one, if you will, trying to get his kin out in the open now he knew where he was located. How to do that? Create a situation in which people commit acts of violence and murder. Why do it this way? Well, the guy is a cop. Once the two find each other and come together, they can procreate. Remember what the glowing one said..."to create a whole new race" or beings or something to that effect.

Okay, I apologize for the long message but I hope I've answered some if not all of your questions. Actually, thank you for asking b/c now, I have a better understanding of this film.

That ending was horrible, even tho there were a few hints of it through the movie (we saw the vag earlier, and him being born with no sex) but even still I was actually enjoying the film till that part, sorry, but Richard Lynch with long hair and a ridiculous looking pulsating vagina under his armpit saying "I could bear your child" to another man does not belong in any movie.
