SPOILERS*****SPOILERS*****SPOILERS

BOBBY was such an effectively frightening short story about a dead boy's vengeance on his mother that it appeared on film three times.

1) 1972 Television series, "Ghost Story", later re-titled to, "Circle of Fear".

2) Dead of Night (1977)

3) Trilogy of Terror II (1996)

All three versions are successfully creepy and scary because the directors stayed true to the original story.
BOBBY evinces elements of, "The Monkey's Paw", in underscoring the moral of never wishing for something you have no business wishiing for...otherwise you might receive it in a most terrifyiing manner you regret.

Thanks for listing the two other films, if they match the creepy and frightening elements of "Bobby" they must be good!

Thanks so much tcshan for the YouTube Links ( I know I will enjoy these lol ) . I will most definitely be watching them even though I have never seen this movie before . I'm actually watching Trilogy of Terror 2 from 1996 on the CHILLER Channel right now . It should be interesting to see the comparison from two different decade movies with the same writers . Thanks also to pennylane212121 for your subject post .

I remember watching Bobby as a kid. Still effective all these years later.

I love the repeating on the phone as well. It is so funny. I would love to do that on the phone to someone, but nobody ever calls me.
