Theatrical Version DVD Transfer

Apparently, the reason the transfer is so bad on the Shriek Show Theatrical Version is because the only surviving print of the actual movie is in awful shape. It's lucky it survived at all. The alternative TV version transfer on the DVD is much cleaner but the ratio is different. I'd suspect most people would remember this eco-horror classic from 1970's television anyway.

But it's best to see the film version. It was quite beautiful with all those animals close-ups.

The DVD and Blu-ray from Scorpion Releasing has a beautiful anamorphic widescreen HD transfer from the original interpositive.

I've been chasing grace/ But grace ain't easy to find

Second that.

The Scorpion Blu-Ray is phenomenal and nearly flawless.
Watching the scratchy dull print on Amazon is unfair to the filmmakers.
There are some truly beautiful shots, especially in the title sequence.
