I saw this when it was released theatrically WAAY back when and just re-watched via YouTube.

There's not much to recommend here... average acting, below average script... but the music is worth noting.

As I re-watched it recently, I thought how much the disconcerting background music reminded me of the original Planet of the Apes which has one of the greatest "alien"-esque soundtracks of all time.

Sure enough, IMDB tells me that the great Jerry Goldsmith was the composer here.

You'll also hear similar jarring tones in the soundtrack to Papillon, particularly during the end credits for that movie.

One of the great cinema composers...
