They Fixed The Ending Of The Book With This One !

I hated the way Dracula was destroyed in the novel, simply they cut his throat and stabbed him in heart with a bowie knife. Which makes me believe that he survived, Because Van Helsing stated that he could change into anything. Could it be that The Count just turned to dust on purpose so he could escape because I don't think that regular knives could stop him.

This film showed what they should have done with the wooden stake

Several better writers than you or I have speculated on this point.

And yes. It certainly is a possibility.

But now that the Stoker family has finally signed off on an official sequel.(They don't count "Dracula's Guest", as an official "sequel").The book will be entitled "Dracula: The Undead". Which is being written by Dacre Stoker, Bram's great-grandnephew, and Dracula historian Ian Holt, publishing in October 2009.

We'll just have to see what they come up with!
