Quincey too goofy

The character Quincey (a combination of 2 other characters) is played too goofy. The actor seems to be trying to top all his scenes, but it doesn't seem to fit the mood or style of the picture. The result is I don't care for him. He seems completely out of place.

In this film Quincey's character was combined with that of Lord Godalming (Arthur Holmwood) from the book.

But I didn't see him as goofy. How was he goofy in your view?
