How can I find this movie?

In my cheap DVD collections I have "Cosmos: War of the Planets", "War of the Robots", and "Star Odyssey". All say they are directed by Ed Bradley and feature the lovely Yanti Somer.

I'd love to see this one, but searching for "War In Space" or "Battle of the Stars" or "Battaglie negli spazi stellar" turn up nothing except a Japanese movie.

So sad...

ickystay,

If you're still out there go to my blog (see link below) and click the "sci-fi" topic filter. Look for the reviews for "Star Odyssey" and "Beast in Space". Both should contain information (and links) about Al Bradly and his movies that should aide you in your search. If after reading through the reviews you still come up empty haned PM me.

Hey, thanks for your reply! Nice blog! Funny about "Star Odyssey" being mixed up. I never noticed. My copy is from the Mill Creek "50 Nightmare Worlds" set. I'll have to give it another look.

I've visited the humanoid page before, but it wasn't until following your link and paying more attention I finally realized that imdb has these movies messed up. Battaglie negli spazi stellari (1977) is NOT "Also Known As: Battle of the Stars and War in Space". It's AKA "Cosmos: War of the Planets"! "Anno zero - guerra nello spazio" IS "Also Known As: Battle of the Stars and War in Space". Heh, I can certainly understand the confusion.

Anyway, I've ordered "Battle Of The Stars" (and an Italian "Beast In Space"!) from superstrangevideo. Hopefully they will be O.K. quality and not too cut up... That should wrap up the "Brescia red hats in outer space" quintet for me.

"It's getting pretty late, doctor"
"Later than you think."

Glad to be of assistance. Enjoy the movies. They're very entertaining and hilarious, when approached in the right frame of mind.

We just found this on a $1 DVD at Wal-Mart. On this DVD it's title is Cosmos: War of the Planets. There are THREE other movies on the DVD that we haven't seen yet: Assignment Outer Space, Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet, and Warning from Space.

If it helps for other seekers since your post is 6 years old now, a Horror TV host called Mr Lobo played it. Many of his episodes incleding this film are at Lobovision if you search War Of The Planets Mr Lobo or just Lobovision you should be able to find it. That is the ONLY way I would watch this total garbage of a film.

I'm not certain that any of you or I have the movies in this series straightened out.

I seem to remember that 2 movies in this series had identical beginnings but different endings.

My thread "Robot Boy From Ganymede?" is my contribution to attempting to tell Cosmos War of the Planets from Battle of the Stars.
