Still good today


I'm 21 and even I could relate to this movie. Sadly a war is going on, but at least there is no draft. When the girls brother died it hurt me so much. It reminded me of when my friend was over in the middle east. She didn't die, thank God, but it was grueling as I waited for her to be done. Now some other friends want to join the army. Its nice to have a movie that shows how that really sucks.

The jokes and story-lines are pretty timeless. Of course the newspaper technology has changed. I was part of my schools newspaper, so it was cool to see the pre-computer style of 1969 (when the movie's based).
