One of the Most Erotic films ever.

An esteemed colleague of mine by the name of John Remington once said, "Eroticism isn't about what you show, but rather what you don't show." I firmly agree with this idea, and feel that TOOofD is a prime example of this taking place.

This film is set up like a true sexual encounter, coupled with all of the frustrations that go along with it. The film starts with the lust, then frustration, and ends after giving the audience a peak of the sexual encounter.

The film is truly a tease, and makes it that much hotter. I love this film and especially the fact that it isn't explicitly sexual like other would be erotic films (namely Last Tango In Paris).

This film in the truest sense is a hot Catholic school girl.

Couldn't agree more- this is one of the most passionate films I've ever seen about repressiveness, and, the greatest thing of all, it's a black comedy that works! Sometimes the humor is frustrating (frustrating like some of the jokes on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm- if you get empathetic with the lead male you pretty much forget he's the bourgeoisie, whom Bunuel always jabs to some degree), but it helps alleviating what else would be a very serious romantic drama. The surrealism, also, is very electric- unlike in Discreet Charm, I didn't always know when something was more dream-like or not...however, I did think having two women in one role worked wonderfully (both magnificent beauties).

yeah, I agree with you guys that this film is great, as a matter of fact for me personally it's probably Bunuel's finest along with Phantom de la liberte. Arguably, the only film I can think of right now which is equally 'eletric' in terms of subtle eroticism is THe PIano.

J'aime ce film. Chaque fois que je l'ai observé je voulez avoir des relations sexuelles avec Carole Bouqet. En fait, j'aimerais avoir le sexe avec Carole Bouqet n'importe quand, film ou pas. Quelle belle femme.

I find it funny that so many films rely on explicit sex to be "sexy", yet Bunuel's films are far more erotic than any of these , without actually showing sex.

Have you checked out the thread about the terrorist attacks in the film?

That's why I think it would have been immensely better to NOT have shown Carole Bouquet's breasts.
