Influenced by Spielberg but gave something to Carpenter and Kubrick

I LOVE this Movie..
and
I guess Duel gave something to this.. as I think Jaws borrow some for The Car..

However Also John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct take something (not only on Precinct scene matter but also on cinematography) and last but not the least Stanley Kubrick take the Intro*theme for Shining.. so that's cool!

Funny thing is that the intro music to The Car (1977) by Elliot Silverstein
is the same as to The Shining (1980).
The music compartment was in the hands of Leonard Rosenman, who was
responsible for "Barry Lyndon" (1975), but in The Shining the music
compartment was in the hands of Wendy Carlos.
In both the intro music was an elaboration of "Symphonie Fantastique" by
Berlioz.

jaws came out two years before this, and the berlioz piece had been used in a bunch of things long before the 70's(usually horror movies).
