'ANASTASIA' (1957) REFERENCES?

Did anyone notice how like the first twenty minutes of this film resembled "Anastasia" (1957)?

Both films have two opportunistic con artists pick off the streets an orphan with vague recollection of her past, and have her pose as a missing heiress allegedly dead, in an attempt to cash in off the estate.

Both films star Helen Hayes as the grandmother.

It is revealed in both films that the claimant is who she claims to be.

But for some strange reason, "Anastasia" (1957) is not listed in the MOVIE CONNECTIONS section of IMDB. Whatever site administrators see to this, please do. Thanks. ; )

Yes!

I saw Candleshoe for the first time last night, and was stunned by all the Anastasia connections.

Of the two con artists, one in Candleshoe and one in Anastasia worked at the palace/home.

The hiding place was similar as well....

Personally, I think I have too much bloom. Maybe that's the trouble with me.
