did a bing translate on the article but they are not so exact but kinda

the budget will be ample for a Swedish production – the order of 200 million kronor, which is approximately at the same level as the Alfredsons British film "Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy".

In order to get one for Swedish standards so gigantic budget, which previously just "Arn" films have been in the vicinity, it will require more foreign investors.

In the film "the brothers Lionheart" from 1977, played the leading roles of Staffan Götestam (Jonathan) and Lars Söderdahl (Skorpan), Allan Edwall, Per Oscarsson, Gunn Wållgren and Georg Årlin as Tengil.

Since then, the heroic fantasy genre flourished. The possibilities of orchestrating the magical fairytale where the fire-spitting Dragon Katla and the giant lindormen struggling against each other is quite different today than it was then.

A new film adaptation would rather be compared to films such as "the Lord of the rings" than the old 1970 movie.

That's great. I loved the book when I was a kid, but the movie was... well, crap.

I'm not sure what to think of the comparison to Lord of the Rings though. Sure, they're both fantasy but The Brothers Lionheart is a children's book and kids aren't going to sit through some epic four hour movie. Unless they're making it for older audience, the pacing would have to be very different.
