Stupid bridge attack by supposedly professional paras

The British para regiments ARE pro's, very capable and brave.

But why run at a pill box with small fire arms? This re-enactment made them look like Dad's Army!

Why not sneak up and fire the bazooka/Pierce?

reply

The British Army of which the Paras were part of did not use a bazooka in World War II. What they used was named a PIAT. Short for "Propeller, Infantry Anti Tank." Do not remember the range, but what it threw was a bottled explosive but was spring loaded.

reply

Effective firing range 115 yd (105 m)
Maximum firing range 350 yd (320 m)

reply

Still a dumb attack on the ground?

reply

Yeah. And you are a general with plenty of hours planning and executing operations?

It happened whether you liked it or not.

reply

You aren't. Get fuckin over it - like any topic on all of this website- OPINIONS

Free speech on a public forum, tard.

reply

Have you heard "opinions are like...?"

Your opinion is more like your hole.

It does not matter whether I am a general or not. I imagine that in war, in a battle, all logic goes away. And soldiers have to resort to all sorts of means. And plans.
