Two of the actors died in car accidents

Walter McGinn who played the brother died in a car accident shortly after he filmed his part and a few months before the movie was released. Romolo Valli, the famous Italian actor who played Marthe Keller’s uncle in the film, also died in a car accident. A bit trivial but a notable coincidence considering a car accident drove the plot of this movie. I thought the movie a little plodding and dull but the ending definitely tugs on he heartstrings if you can hang in ‘till the end
