Robert Shaw running at Game??

Were portions of the film (i.e. Shaw running to save the day near the end zone) film during the actual game?? I know the game was real, but were a few parts of the film shot during the actual game?

Yes. Why else would Dallas/Pitts be playing in Miami? :D

I thought it a bid odd that while Shaw was running full speed down the sidelines and behind the endzone, no one thought to stop him and ask him what he was running for (or from).

Also - halfway through the film, when one of the terrorists has a shootout with Shaw and Weaver, everyone who was watching it (whether standing or sitting in beach chairs) just stayed where they were - no one ducked for cover! If I'm on the street and someone is shooting, I'm getting the hell out of the way! I mean - NO ONE moved!

I saw that when Shaw was running down the stands, someone did try to stop him before he jumped off the stairs and onto the endzone.

Producer Robert Evans helped secure the unprecedented cooperation of the National Football League and the production was allowed to film at Super Bowl X and shoot extensive footage with the principal actors for the film's final half hour as the Dallas Cowboys played the Pittsburgh Steelers.

All true...including the guy trying to stop him...but I've always thought about this:

Not too many years after filming "Black Sunday," Robert Shaw died around age 50 or so of a heart attack. He'd been in a lot of action roles for a middle-aged man(Black Sunday, with all this running; Swashbuckler as a fighting pirate; The Deep in fight and scuba scenes)...I wonder if they helped kill him off?

That and the fact that he was a heavy drinker and smoked.
