Audrey Rose and Silent Hill

I saw Silent Hill before I saw Audrey Rose. The story, the cinematography... there are a lot of similarities. I looked up the makers of the game "Silent Hill" (Konami, creatd by Team Silent) and all that... I haven't had the time to put everything together... but I can' shake the feeling that there is some sort of connection. That the Silent Hill creaters were paying homage to Audrey Rose and that whole "displaced child" genre. I'm still researching so I'm sorry if this post seems a bit scattered. But did ANYONE notice what I noticed?!?!?!

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I love the movie Silent Hill too!

Especially the dual personality thing between Alessa and Sharon, and the point that Alessa kept pulling Sharon toward Silent Hill, and that Sharon sleep walks.

I don't know if that was on purpose or not.

I do too. It's a fun internal conflict type of thing. So what types of similarities did you notice between Audrey Rose and Silent Hill? When did you see Audrey Rose? This fascinates me! I must find out WHY they seem so similar.

I have owned it on DVD for quite a while. I first saw it around 1980 to 82 when I was in Junior High. I didn't know who Anthony Hopkins was then, but I was like "who is this guy?" I was hooked!

I like the atmosphere of Silent Hill. Jodelle Ferland does a very good job.

The similarities I mentioned in my other post are the only ones I noticed. I don't think they were intentional though.
