Another take on Elliot Hoover.....

I wonder why the explanation that Elliot Hoover was simply suffering from clinical depression was not explored in the film. Reincarnation wasn't his traditional belief, he only explored it AFTER the death of his daughter, Audrey Rose. Elliot was so desperate to reach his deceased wife & child he hired a medium to perform a sceance. The medium informed Elliot that his daughter was indeed alive. It's my opinion that Ivy's parents & the prosecution should have explored Mr. Hoover's extreme grief-stricken behavior during the trial. Desperate people do desperate things!

I plan on getting the book, "Audrey Rose" (1975) by Frank De Felitta.

Get the book and the sequel For Love of Audrey Rose. Both are good but the sequel is superb and what I would have love to seen filmed. Anthony Hopkins would have been brilliant.
