Pictures of Brooke Shields screen test

She was screen tested for Ivy. Does anyone know where I could find pictures? I wished she had play her.

I don't know about a screen test, but she ended up being the model for the book cover.

Yes she was screen tested. I read it in the trivia section, and it was also mentioned that Jon Pertwee was the original choice for the role of Elliot Hoover. Maybe it's just me but I think Hopkins was miscast.

Maybe they'll eventually release a special edition DVD of this, and it will have her screen test on it? That would be nice. They could do interviews with Hopkins and Marsha Mason and track down Susan Swift for an interview. With this remake coming, they seem to be paying attention to the the fact that it's the films 30th anniversary this year, so maybe that's what they're planning.

That would be so great! I was wondering if we could write to Warner Bros. and request this to them?

I am so sick of Brooke already. She wasn't the only kid back then. The director didn't want her or her parents didn't want her in the movie for reasons of their own.

People should stop giving Swift a hard time too. She was a child and her acting was in the hands of the director.

So people can't state their opinions? The author Frank De Felitta had based the character of Ivy Templeton on Brooke, that's why some people started topics about her and if she would've been good as Ivy.

I'm glad Brooke Shields didn't get the part.

In the book, Ivy looks nothing LIKE Brooke.

It could have gone either way. Give Susan a break (just because she wasn't a superstar).

STFU, STFU!

From the trivia:

"A common misconception is that Brooke Shields tested for the role of Ivy. She posed for the cover art for the bestselling book, but that was the extent of her involvement."

I met Susan Swift today at a horror convention and she told me that Brooke definitely auditioned for the part.
