Favorite or Funniest Scene

It's a great movie with a thousand hilarious scenes and jokes, but my favorite has to be the scene where they are driving to the airport in Wisconsin, with Christopher Walken driving. He has just the night before had his "confession" to Woody (Alvy). Fantastic!

I always LOL when they show his boyhood classmates and the little walleyed girl in glasses says "I'm into leather."

Cracks me up every time.

The balcony subtitle scene.

reply

Oh, the rooftop! (sorry, but I just sat here for about 20 minutes trying to recall a balcony.)

reply

The lobster scene an the one with the subtitles.

I notice there are only 3 replies to this thread in 4 months. Does that tell you how funny it was?

I just watched it for the first time the other day and did't think it was very funny at all - just weird.

reply

The scene with the cop.

reply

Same here. hehehe

Not sure if I'm calling it my favorite but for some reason I laughed when Annie told Alvy about her brother "Dwayne" and he's like "Dwayne?!?"

reply

No the funniest scene but a very clever one...just after Alvy is accosted by the two goombas and Annie shows up, Alvy declares "I feel like I'm standing with the cast of The Godfather!"

Which, of course, always make me smile since Keaton was in The Godfather.

Lie still. I've never done this before; and there will
be blood.

Actually, I liked that juxtaposition. It was a darker comedic moment that actually played out well. I noticed that there was a very short cameo by Jeff Goldblum in this film as well.

reply

And that cameo has one of the best jokes in the film. He says "I forgot my mantra" in the phone, I laughed so hard.

reply

Definitely one of the best gags in the film, and Jeff nailed it (tone of voice, body language, delivery) - stole the movie, really, in a 4-second scene!

Annie driving the VW and alvy pulling out a sandwich
