...okay, I see from the credits it's a cameo by Wim Wenders, but WHO is the character supposed to be??..the crooks seem to know him as the female is smoking with him...or is it some poor accident victim schmoe that just happened to be in the ambulance when they stole it??

good theory, but when Hopper is reading about the train assassination in the newspaper he mentions two "bodies" hitting the tracks.
now I'm thinking it might be Minot's henchman..they've both been captured by Sam Fuller and tortured.
