Why were the nuns and the priest getting whipped across their backs after Alucarda's confessional?
shareThey regularly engaged in self-flagellation. In this instance, I think it was punishment. The loony priest was going on about how they are not immune from possession or being influenced by Satan. So in their mind it was justified, they could all be guilty.
