Actor -SPOILER

Ralph Meeker was always a very engaging actor. Even in this film, "The Alpha Incident", with little dialogue, mostly sitting around, he adds a lot to the story. When he makes his exit, the rest of the movie really loses its thrust. Hardly a great film, as has been noted by others, for a minor picture, but Meeker does a good job of it.

Agree. Ralph Meeker was awesome. So was John Golf, Carol Newell and Stafford Morgan.

I had a tough time with Buck Flower… the film would have been fine without the 2 egghead scientists.. and the general dragged the show.

Thanks for your note and caring enough to declare your opinion of Mr. Meeker.

I'll have to watch this movie again and though I thought that the picture lost its momentum when he exited, I remember actually caring about outcome of the remaining characters. That should speak well of them.

Anyway, Ralph Meeker was a very fine character actor. I'm sure there are new faces that carry on this important position today. This fellow did much with little. It may not seem like it, especially in this low-budget gem, as he sort of sleepwalks through his part, but even in his sleep he has a great presence.
