For the last 3 Airport movies it seems they received the Razzie award. if they were so bad, why did they keep making them? Did they do well at the box office at the time?

Its funny, considering the Razzies only started in 1980 I find it very hard to believe that the last 3 Airport movies received a razzie, lol

They were inducted to its "Hall of Shame" years after their releases, just to clarify.
