It's how they completely forget that in a B-747, the echonomy class is around 250 passengers at least... and it seems completely empty. Only the passengers in First, are shown. Not even in Bussiness Class.

I mean, LOL. Out of a likely number of passengers of over 300 hundred, only around 10-15 are shown to survive, but a similar number is shown to die. Rest, sorry, that would be a realistic film, and not a Hollywood 70's disaster film. At least, in "The Poseidon Adventure" or "Earthquake" they did really care to show the real effect of the disaster...

I think it was because Jimmy Stewart was flying down only a select group of friends to his house.

Did you watch the Film? It is a special 747, customized by a rich man. The passenegrs shown were the only one onboard.
