Lee Grant was 50 when she made this.
Wow, she doesn't look it.
shareLee Grant always looked good for her age. very pretty woman.
shareThe first time I saw this movie back in 2004, I thought Lee Grant's character was such a shallow b!tch and deserved to die. Seven years later and after seeing a few of her other films, I hated to see her die this time around! It takes alot of skill to play someone so hateful, especially without turning it into camp.
The only strange thing (or maybe not strange): I remember her having more lines when I saw the film on AMC. Maybe I saw the extended version on TV and the Netflix version is the theatre version?
Lee Grant is great... I had no idea she was that age in this movie.

I had a thing for her growing up. I didn't think about her until I saw her recently in season one of "The Fugitive''. I know that she became a director, but I never saw any of her movies.
shareI think she makes mostly documentaries...and her daughter is Dinah Manoff, who I think was on soap and Empty Nest

You seem confused. First of all, there are some very attractive 50 year old women. It's only just past middle age. Next, Hollywood stars get a ton if surgery, makeup, and great photography/lighting to look very young.
So it really shouldn't be any surprise at all.
I first saw her in "In The Heat of the Night" (1967) with Sydney Poitier. She had a small part as the wife of the deceased, but I did find her quite attractive.
shareBy thinking I'm confused, you're confused.
shareI agree, rockmail
50 is not old when you have bright flattering lighting, good angles, and not seeing the actor in 2 dimensions.
Notice how great actors look in 35M films compared to videotape or still-shots in the tabloids.

No she looks amazing, I remember being impressed by the amount of discipline it takes to maintain that appearance.
shareFrom the time she began appearing in films and on TV in the 60s (following her blacklisting for a decade), Lee always had a way of looking a decade younger than she actually was. Check her out in an episode of "The Big Valley" where at age 40 she could easily pass for just under 30. Or her villainous turn in the second "Columbo" pilot film where at 45 she looked 32 or 33.
They actually offered her the sexy role of the female Romulan commander for the Star Trek episode "The Enterprise Incident" but unfortunately she turned it down. Joanne Linville had nothing compared to her!
She's looked great!
