shareIt's not a brilliant film but the mud, blood and poetry sentimentalism isn't all that nauseating and the last scene is nearly moving. I wouldn't pay for a blue ray (if I had a player) but the dvd would be worth it.
Have you heard of Kim Newman? In "Kim Newman's Video Dungeon" he reviews direct to video horror films (and sometimes direct to landfill ;O)) so we don't have to. You do the same for us with obscure war films and dodgy rip-offs, so I ought to say thanks, thanks. ;O)

I watched this on Film4 the other day to see if the print was any better than the dvd and they edited out all the juicy bits:well there aren`t many I know but I`m sure I remember scenes of them looking at nude pics and the other pilots teasing Croft about not having "dipped his wick"-wonder if the Blu-ray has these scenes?I`ve always enjoyed this with a fine performance by Christopher Plummer-granted it`s not stunning but compared to the CGI dumbfest "Flyboys" a positive masterpiece!
