Anybody else confused?

Sony has labeled the Liberty Williams pilot as "unaired", yet there's enough response on these messageboards that clearly indicate it WAS shown. I remember watching it, taping it on my old GE tape recorder and listening to the tape until it broke. Or is there a pilot with Lisa Hartman that was never aired and I'm just confused? I haven't seen the product in person, just the IMDb and Amazon listings.

I remember watching it too. It seems to me, however, that it was shown on a Saturday afternoon after a Reds baseball game ended early on account of rain. This was in Columbus, Ohio in the spring of 1977.

I saw the pilot on tv in Tucson Arizona, and it seems to me that it had been listed in the tv guide at the time - we obviously tuned in just to see it. It was confusing to me because Tabitha was a brunette, plus I don't recall anyone in the family actually laughing. It's tone was more subdued. But I'd like to see it again just to compare it to the Hartman series, which I also watched when it was originally run.

Very delayed reply here, but you probably know by now that the pilot was included in the DVD for the series as a bonus feature. So you can revisit it and avoid laughing again.

I've just watched the pilot, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Lisa Hartman series. In the pilot, Tabitha lives in San Francisco, not Los Angeles, and works for an advertising firm (I think), not a TV station. None of the actors is the same, and Tabitha's brother also practices witchcraft.

Outside of the San Francisco locales in the pilot, the Lisa Hartman series was far better. I can see why they did major tinkering. Too bad the Lisa Hartman series didn't last beyond one season.

Not sure if it ever aired, but if anyone wants to see it, here it is...

Tell me, you love your country?
Well, I've just died for it.

Never knew it existed until now. I'm watching it right now as I type. I actually like it much more than the show with Lisa Hartman (which is a piece of crap).

I don't get why they turned Adam into such a dick though. It seems neither of these shows knew what to do with Adam.

Remember the magic words: "Please", "Thank you" and "Step off bitch!"
