Series had great potential

I recently rented the dvd because I liked the show when it first aired. Its a shame they did not give the show more time to find its audience. I think Starting with the eighth episode it started to it its stride. In fact I think the show would have been more intresting if they kept certain storylines for more then one episode.
For instance in Tabitha and the Love Triangle they could have spent more time on that storyline and When Paul goes to New york the same thing.
But it was the 1977 so back then I guess comedies didnt have a long story line back then unlike Wings which spent more then one episode on certain story line.In fact
I think if the show had stayed on long enough and was popular I think maybe Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York might have done an episode or two.
