dvd?

I used to love this show as kid! I wonder when there will be a dvd of it?

DVD of series one is just out (from Network)with series 2 to come in November 2007. I've watched all the episodes now and enjoyed them as well. Certainly it looks dated but my 11 year old son enjoyed it so it must have some staying power. Richard O'Sullivan performs to standard as Robin Tripp (from Man About the House), ably assisted by Tessa Wyatt but the star for me is Tony Britton who does the scathing, disapproving prospective father-in-law to perfection. Takes me back to a time when TV was prepared to serve up decent light entertainment with the accent on 'entertainment'. Nicely written, well produced and good performances from the cast make it very watchable indeed...raises a smile at the thought that a couple living together outside of wedlock was a bit daring...raises a frown when I realise I was 12 when it first saw the light of day ! Some may not approve of the stereotypical Irish kitchen hand, Albert Riddle, but allowances should be made for the archive nature of the material !
