Where's the DVD?

I've seen a few episodes of this show on BBC-America, and think it's hysterical. So why does Faulty Towers get to go digital but not this Palin/Jones gem!

I realize that Cleese is probably the most popular of the Pythons (particularly in the US--with Idle a close second), but to me this show is just as funny as FT. I suppose because Cleese's humor is a bit more situation-oriented and not as abstract as Palin and Jones can be.

Nevertheless I feel this show deserves to be released on DVD in America!

Yep, it's a no-brainer. A US DVD release would be quite welcome. If there were DVD releases in the UK, I really don't see the problem. I'm confident there's plenty of American Python fanatics (myself included) who'd be quite happy to purchase a RY boxset. - - and with commentaries please!

This has been released on DVD R2 PAL. I just bought my copy from www.cd-wow.biz. Has commentary by Palin and Jones, deleted scenes, original scripts in PDF etc. Crammed full of goodies...it's great.

Well, that's nice you're happy, and it's encouraging that they did such a thorough job, but until that all trickles down to a U.S. region 1 release, it just leaves me a little frustrated. Perhaps that was your intent...? :)

(And don't get me started about buying an all-region player!)

Get your player chipped then ;)

I can't wait to get it. Unfortunately, I have other bills to pay. But, the first chance I get, I'm ordering in on Amazon (because it's hard to find here in the Midwest.)

Netflix also has it in stock, if renting is something you would like to do.
