Every time I watch that scene where Demelza goes to his "ball" to get back at Ross, my mouth hangs open in shock. There definitely wasn't tobacco in that pipe that Demelza, Hugh and O'Neil was puffing in.

Can anyone really picture Ross at that party puffing on that pipe?

But, ironically, knowing what a complete lecher Hugh was, it's actually the kind of party I could picture him throwing.
