MRS. PYNCHON

She was my FAVORITE character on the series--a complex, multi-dimensional woman brought brilliantly to life.

Nancy Marchand was a GREAT actress who left us much too soon.

She has the same sort of trill to the voice that some British actresses have; the way she said certain things and her blue eyes and white hair brought to mind actress Dame Maggie Smith – though she wasn't quite old enough, and her nose was too big (Dame Maggie has very delicate features), but they do have similarity about them.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

still boggles my mind that the very proper patrician Mrs. pynchon was played by the same actress who played Livia Soprano

I thought Mrs. Pynchon's lapdog was cartoonish.

Nancy Marchands performance in the season 4 episode"stroke" is amazing! Disturbingly realistic.

It won her an Emmy. Her husband Paul Sparer played Mrs. Pynchon's doctor.
