Did they ever find Sanctuary?
I remember watching this as a kid in the 70's, but never saw the last episodes, a bit like that other TV series about the group of people stranded in the Burmuda Triangle.
Anyway - did Logan ever find Sactuary?
Yes and no.
The series didn't wrap itself up, it just ended because it was canceled. So in the end they were still looking for 'Sanctuary'. In one episode they found a building from the Sanctuary Project, that was created before the war and intended to help mankind learn from the past and live peacefully. The people living nearby worshiped it as a shrine, ignorant of it's true purpose until Logan and company revealed it to them. Logan and Jessica decided that it wasn't their Sanctuary and moved on.
Also, given the limited knowledge Logan and Jessica have of Sanctuary it seems several of the places they discovered could have fit the bill. Even at the end of the first episode, after Logan took care of the Horsemen menace, it seemed like that society could qualify as Sanctuary. Of course then we wouldn't really have a show.
in case you are wondering if i remember it right in the original novel sanctualry is in outer space and the novel ends with logan and jessica taking off in a spaceship to finally reach sanctualry.
shareIt was the moon colony. They found it there and the further novels they come back to help the rest who are in the dome. Also the movie offers that sanctuary is outside the dome itself. The dome was needed at one time and now they can start over fresh.
