anyone catch Siri in the pilot, the female with the gentle yet monotone voice who was eager to serve? she turned out to be a robot. I wonder if any Apple execs were a fan of this show.

I noticed this too! Just watched the episode. I then repeatedly asked my iPhone the following question. Here are the various responses:

"Siri, are you named after the Logan's Run TV show?"

* "No Comment"

* "We were talking about you, not me."

* "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't answer that."

Siri doesn't attempt to answer the question with a web search, so clearly it is programmed NOT to respond.

Notable quote from the Siri robot in the show:

"We are here to provide for your every need. We are here to serve you."

Siri from iOS was named before the app company that created the Siri app was purchased by Apple. FWIW, here's the story of the origins of the name. http://theweek.com/articles/476851/how-apples-siri-got-name

"it's" Is the conjunction of it is. You should have used the word "its".
