I cant believe no-one's said anything about the Good Life. It's superb!

I agree. Here in the US, of course, it was usually called "Good Neighbors." I liked it most, I guess, because I enjoyed that delight that Tim (LOL) and Barbara found in each other. Sure, the premise was interesting, and it led to all sorts of fun moments, but I liked the relationships among the couples and among the four. There was pique, but there was also acceptance, and grace, and forgiveness, true delight in each others' company.
The Good Life is the best britcom ever made,Felicity Kendal is the world's most beautiful and talented actress...Imo limey opinion of course. :)

Apparently, it was called "Good Neighbours" in the USA as there was already a series called "The Good Life" and they decided it couldn't have the same name. "They" being whoever marketed it in the US.

Jeez..I thought I just explained! There was already a series called the "Good Life" in the USA so they had to call it something different, ie, "Good Neighbours". If there wasn't already a series called "The Good Life", then I expect it would have remained "The Good Life". Comprendez?
