Can Someone Help me find...

Okay, I remember watching a series Nickelodeon in either the early 80's, (at least I think they were series, it could have been a movie) about a girl who discovers that her best friend and a few strangers are aliens. They way she discovers is when she shines some kind of gold coin and the aliens' eyes turn red. The aliens have kept their gold on earth and need to take it back, until some greedy man wants to take the gold for himself. I wish I knew the title of this movie and/or series. Can someone help me find the title? Thanks!
