Yes, it's unashamedly cheesy. But in this day and age its campy, cheesy nature is its very strong point. It has plenty of detractors, even among Brady show fans. But it's not as though anybody can point to modern shows that are better, because they can't.

Hmmmm, what to watch....
A show about people in a pawn shop? Another show about lame house makeovers? Another weightloss series showing fat people crying about being fat because they want to be thin? What about a real-life medical series where we watch somebody having a tumour removed? No thanks, you can keep modern TV. I'll take a double helping of Brady Bunch Variety Hour cheese every time. It's innocent, fun, funky and has truckloads of style.

I was fortunate to tape most of the episodes during the 2000s when it was aired on cable in Australia. I might even have all the episodes. I don't know yet. I'm slowly going through my VHS cassettes and converting what I want to keep to DVD.

I totally agree.
Cheesy today but not bad for '76.

But then Laverne and Shirley was cheesier and nobody complains.

Just discovered it on Youtube and I think I missed something with all those swimteam practices I had back then. But... I managed to letter that year so it wasn't a total waste.

But now, it's like old home week with the Brady's and not bad entertainment.
So, don't read the reviews. Just watch the 9 episodes and either enjoy or don't watch.

I heard this show was Robert Reed's favorite Brady series to star in.
