Christopher Timothy

I've always felt he was the weakest part of the show. Just an unlikeable actor, I guess. Robert Hardy and Peter Davison were brilliant.

I think CT kept the whole show together.

I found Christopher Timothy very likeable in this part. But I have seen him in other rolls which I did not like him in at all: "The Mind of Mr. Soames" he was unfeeling, uncaring and self centered. And though he had his own good reasons shaping up later in the program, Lord Peter Whimsey's "Murder Must Advertise" he acted like a real jerk. They say when an actor can play many different characters and all of them move you one direction or the other, it is the mark of a good actor.

I don't think the OP will find much agreement. :-)
