The creepy boy fishing...

Boy, was he creepy. I'm not surprised he was the leader.

reply

I agree!!

I didn't even realize there was a leader...

Le temps détruit tout.

Well to me he seemed to be the leader of the kids. He was more domineering.

reply

Yeah he was very creepy. Heck all the kids in this movie were creepy. That one girl that kept touching that lady's pregnant belly. That was the creepiest one imo lol.

R.I.P. Uncle Steve

Which kid fishing? The dark haired kid? He wasn't the leader (he does look like Dee Dee Ramone!) The red haired type kid was definitely "the leader".

But then again, this movie sucks anyway...

reply

I didn't know there was a leader either, oh yeah, because there wasn't. And yeah, if there was anything that even remotely resembled a leader it was that kid with the red/blond hair that at the end said there were lots of children. Durp.

Hollywood used to create, now they just destroy.

I think the creepiest kid was the girl who beats the old man.
Her face looks a little deformed.
I'll never get over how she so playfully laughs and smiles.
Jesus.

The kid at the dock sets the tone for what comes. I have heard people dismiss this film as ridiculous, stupid, not scary, etc. If you watch this and that kid fishing does not send a chill though you, then the whole film is useless to you. I saw that kid and thought he was a freak show because his reaction to the man shows he cares not a damn with this guy says or wants, and that he is fearless. Like Village of the Damned meets Ed Gein.

That kid that was fishing was chilling!! Every time I saw that stare I shivered with fear!
And I'm a longtime horror film fan, not easily scared by movies. But that kid had the look down pat. I bet in real life he intimidated a number of people with that stare!

He would have made an excellent Damien in "The Omen", as a kid OR as an adult!

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

reply

He really was creepy, but still adorable.

"Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings."

reply

We never do find out what he was using for bait.

reply

I’m betting it was some kind of human body cut bait.

reply

Agreed. That kid was damn creepy.
