I liked him in a bunch of Tarkovsky films: Andrei Rublev, Solaris, The Mirror, and Stalker. But now as the interrogator in The Ascent-- my God! What else that he's in is worth seeing?

Try Check-up on the Roads by Aleksei German, No Crossing Under Fire by Gleb Panfilov, At Home Among Strangers, Stranger at Home (some kind of Russian western) by Nikita Mikhalkov (he still could make great movies then).
