Amaya and 'Clean Wheat'

I prefer the opening credits for the USA version, during which a song was sung by someone credited as "Amaya and 'Clean Wheat'" while the clips from very early movies were shown. Does anyone know who the heck this muscal group was? I can find no references to them anywhere on the web. Have always been curious about this, I like this opening sequence as it has a poignant and innocent sound to it. thanks everyone

I really like the music as well. Juan Picquer Simon, the director of the film, has a website, and I emailed him. He responded to me. Amaya was the lead singer in a Spanish group called Trigo Limpio, which means "Clean Wheat" in Spanish. Apparently, in the '70s they were popular in Spain. I found one of their records on ebay and bought it. As far as I've been able to determine, the songs in the movie are unavailable in any form, other than in the movie itself.

Thank you so much for the information about this! Recently I bought the DVD of this movie with the European introduction, and i was disappointed, but then I looked at the menu and found the US intro was included in the extra features, on its own. It was nice to see it included on the DVD, though I like it better when it is incorporated into the beginning of the film.
